September 2010 News
Yeah, finally some cooler weather-well, in the 80's anyway! I just love this time of year when the mornings are cool and a bit foggy and the sky is clear. What a good reason to make a new Fall or Winter quilt. Our Fall fabrics are just lovely, makes me want to wrap up in a new quilt this year. Better get started! Stop in a gather in the sights- we hope to see you soon.

What's New?
WE have so many new projects in the shop that I just don't know where to begin. Our Halloween fabrics are fun, just right for pillowcases, Trick or Treat bags, a spooky apron or a witchy quilt!

Some of our new fabrics include Timeless Treasures Sunflower Serenade, Kansas Troubles Summers End and Henry Glass Flannel Basics. Yes, we went a bit overboard with the flannel this year but they are sooo soft and cuddley. We may have to put up a sign-No Petting of the flannels!

Classes
The lineup of our Fall classe schedule is beginning to get full. We have classes for beginners, classes to use up that stash of lovely fabric you may have, and quick and fun classes just to enjoy. Go to Our Gathering Place click on classes and chose a fun day with quilting friends.

Sharpen those scissors!
On Thursday, Sept. 9th from 1-4p, the Maxim Sharpening Service will be coming to sharpen your scissors and knives. They will sharpen any scissor or knife-just drop them off at the shop (must be prepaid in cash only) Knife edge scissors (Ginghers, Marks, Mundail, etc) are $6, pinking are $7 knives up to 6" are $2.50 and over 6" are $3.50. Now is the time to sharpen your quilting scissors and that turkey carving knife too!

Jo Morton's Little Women's Club
We are going to continue to meet the first Fri. of each month from 10-noonish or the second Thurs. evening from 6-8p for the summer and come up with some ideas for the Fall since Jo won't have Group 10 out till about the new year. Keep quilting those projects and hopefully we'll see you next month, bring a hand project to work on and hope to see you there.

Mystery
Yes, the Mystery, IN Hot Pursuit, begins in September. This is a 6 month series and is FREE! All you have to do is to stop in each month and pick up the new clue. We always enjoy seeing your finished project, so bring in last year's mystery too!
